GO/RM3053 Working manual for rail staff - Handling and carriage of dangerous goods: Glossary (Issue 2, June 2006)

Contains requirements for drivers, train preparers, yard staff, operations control and other associated persons involved in the management and carriage of dangerous goods by rail.

The manual also contains the following sections:

GO/RT3053/A Classification, acceptance and identification (Issue 2, June 2006)

Gives information on the different groups of classes of dangerous goods and how they are identified. It also sets out the conditions for accepting dangerous goods to be conveyed by rail.

Sets out the requirements when it is necessary to move dangerous goods from wagons or containers to other wagons or containers in an emergency.

GO/RT3053/App1 List of dangerous goods with their United Nations Number, dangerous goods class and TOPS commodity code (Issue 3, June 2006)

Shows a list applicable to freight train carriage of dangerous goods and is for reference purposes only.
